The Eleanor H. Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy welcomes , editor of theÌýWall Street Journal’s Weekend Review, for a discussion of his most recent book,Ìý, moderated by Chaim Saiman, professor of law and chair in Jewish law.
In his book, Kirsch examines how the concept of settler colonialism emerged in the context of North American and Australian history and how it is being applied to Israel in contemporary debate. He examines the sources of its appeal and analyzes how it can lead to new injustices today.
Adam KirschÌýis the author of several poetry and criticism books. A 2016 Guggenheim Fellow, Kirsch is an editor at theÌýWall Street Journal’s Weekend Review section and has written for publications includingÌýThe New YorkerÌýandÌýTablet. He lives in New York.

Through the generosity of Professor Giannella’s family, colleagues, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Law alumni and other friends, an endowed fund was established to honor the distinguished scholar and beloved educator who died in 1974. The lectureship brings a leading scholar to ²ÝÁñÉçÇø each year.
