EXPLORE YOUR PATH.
FIND YOUR HOME.
We're thrilled you've chosen to spend the next four years at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø! New Student Orientation is required for all incoming new students and provides programming and activities designed to help you thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
New Student Orientation begins with Move-In Day on Wednesday, Aug. 20. On Thursday, Aug. 21, students, parents and families participate in activities designed to acclimate them to ²ÝÁñÉçÇø's campus and forge relationships with peers. After the Family Picnic on Thursday evening, parents and families will depart campus. New Student-only programming will continue from 6:30 p.m. on Thursday through the start of classes on Monday, Aug. 25.
You'll be challenged academically, socially and spiritually during your time at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. It will be up to you to rise to meet the challenges and make the most of your time with us!
About Us
New Student Orientation is designed to introduce students to what it means to be a ²ÝÁñÉçÇøn. During Orientation, first-year and transfer students participate in programs, presentations and activities designed to familiarize themselves with academic and cultural life at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. Students have the opportunity to meet with deans, faculty and staff who will answer questions, address concerns and highlight the wide variety of services and activities available at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø.
Our Goals
New Student Orientation welcomes students to all aspects of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø life including academic, communal, spiritual and social elements of what makes our campus and community unique.
We accomplish this by:
- developing programs where new students learn about educational opportunities inside and outside the classroom;
- informing students of resources on campus;
- encouraging interaction and friendship among new and seasoned students to become an integral part of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø's community and tradition;
- training a diverse staff of current students who facilitate the transition to all aspects of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø life.
