Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting
This 2-hour online course is approved by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and meets the Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs continuing education requirements for healthcare professionals. Throughout the course, you'll learn to identify signs of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, neglect, and human trafficking.
Successfully completing this course will fulfill the relicensure requirements for healthcare professionals in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It also satisfies the training requirements under Act 31 of 2014, titled "Child Abuse: Recognition and Reporting," which took effect on January 1, 2015.
Please note: This course is available for registration every 6 weeks, and once enrolled, you鈥檒l have access to the content for 6 weeks from your start date. While the course takes ONLY 2 hours to complete, you can go through the material at your own pace, whether you choose to finish it all at once or break it up into smaller sessions. Your progress will be saved!
To earn 2 contact hours and receive your certificate of completion, you鈥檒l need to:
1. Complete the entire course
2. Fill out the "Demographic Information"
3. Complete the "Post-Course Evaluation"
After completing the course, please allow up to 72 hours for your completion information to be securely submitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as confirmation of your relicensure requirements.
