The Creative team

Who Are We?

We’re the Creative team with the University's Marketing department, and ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s strategic partner for visual communication. Last year we managed over 800 projects—
from Annual Reports to digital ad campaigns to University
stock photography.
Our areas of expertise include: graphic design for digital and print; University stock photography concept and management; strategic design concept development.

How Can We Help?

Great! Our will lead you through the information we need in order to get your project underway. Please note: if you are working remotely, in order to access our request forms you will need to be on the VU network either through vdesktop or gateway. Information on how to do this can be found on UNIT's web page

To make the job submission process run smoothly, here's a preview of what we ask for:

  • What do you hope to achieve with your project? Who is your audience, and is it regional or national? Do you have examples of designs that you like? Dislike?
  • Nuts & Bolts: due date, quantity, budget index number
  • You! Communication is key, so even after the job is opened, we'll be asking a lot of questions so that we can provide the best product for your needs.

Great! Marketing maintains a view-only stock gallery of imagery that you will find at . In order to download your selection of images, you must be a University employee and registered user of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s stock site.

For additional information regarding accessing these galleries, please contact photography@villanova.edu.

Stock Photography

²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s stock photography and publication photoshoots are managed concept through completion by the Marketing team. This includes initial meetings, photoshoot planning, on-site production, contracts and legal releases required to ensure the viability of imagery for the University stock photography archive. We also facilitate image delivery and billing for stock and publications.

In order to maintain high-quality stock for the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø story, we photograph the following annual events for the University:

  • New Student Orientation
  • St. Thomas of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Day of Service
  • May Commencement
  • Reunion
  • University Publications
  • College Publications
  • Marketing
  • Admissions
  • Special Projects for the President and Provost
  • Seasonal campus imagery

To schedule a commercial shoot for your publication, please use the . Please note: if you are working remotely, in order to access our request forms you will need to be on the VU network either through vdesktop or gateway. Information on how to do this can be found on UNIT's web page

Standard Release Forms

Standard release forms are required for any individuals that may appear in a ²ÝÁñÉçÇø photo shoot. These forms protect the University and ensure that we have the proper permissions in place to use an individual’s likeness in various materials. Links to these documents can be found in our resources section. You should file these signed documents with the assets captured during your event.

For our internal ²ÝÁñÉçÇø community (Students, Faculty and Staff): Head over to our section and use our downloadable catalog to find the appropriate logo file number. Our  will prompt you for the information we need to fulfill your request. We do not charge for provision of existing logos.

Please note: if you are working remotely, in order to access our request forms you will need to be on the VU network either through vdesktop or gateway. Information on how to do this can be found on UNIT's web page.

For our external ²ÝÁñÉçÇø community: Please email creatives@villanova.edu, with the logo you're requesting, your name and intended use for the logo. If you are unsure of which one to request, see our  section and use our downloadable catalog to find the logo file number. Someone from our team will provide the appropriate paperwork to fulfill your request!

The Marketing team is happy to provide design and print estimates to help you plan your project. Because every project is unique, we ask that you complete the appropriate project , and one of our team members will assess your needs to provide an estimate. Please note: if you are working remotely, in order to access our request forms you will need to be on the VU network either through vdesktop or gateway. Information on how to do this can be found on UNIT's web page.

When pursuing design project estimates, please consider the following:

  • Scope of project: Is your audience regional or national? Are there both print and digital components?
  • Format (examples include: postcard, brochure, e-header, invitation with envelope)
  • Due Date
  • Print Quantities (approximation is fine at the estimate stage)
  • Examples of what you're envisioning

We partner directly with Graphic Services to acquire the appropriate print estimates for your project, but please contact bulkmail@villanova.edu for the respective mail costs.

Please contact creatives@villanova.edu with any questions you may have. We will be happy to walk through the estimate process with you.

We are happy to meet with you to discuss the best solutions for your needs. Because every project is unique, we ask that you complete our brief Marketing Meeting , and one of our team members will assess your needs to provide an estimate. Please note: if you are working remotely, in order to access our request forms you will need to be on the VU network either through vdesktop or gateway. Information on how to do this can be found on UNIT's web page.

Some of the questions we may ask include:

  • Scope of project: Is your audience regional or national?
  • Is this a new initiative or something that exists and you'd like to approach in a new way?
  • Target due date
