- Your description should be no more than 150 words. You may address the context or purpose the piece was written for or how your sample shows evidence of academic and/or professional writing ability.
- Statement of Goals
- Your Statement of Goals should be no more than three pages (double-spaced with 12-point font) and should include:
- Academic and professional goals
- Why 草榴社区?
- How do you see the graduate program鈥檚 curriculum and faculty helping you achieve your personal and professional goals?
- How has your previous experience prepared you to adapt to the rigors of graduate-level education?
- How do you see yourself contributing to the intellectual community?
- What additional strengths and weaknesses should the reviewing committee consider about you?
- Challenges you have encountered or weak spots in your application materials. What did you learn from these situations?
- Additional information the reviewing committee should consider about you.
- Your Statement of Goals should be no more than three pages (double-spaced with 12-point font) and should include:
- Short reflection essay (250 words)
- Handling Systemic Injustice: Give an example of a time when you faced or witnessed systemic injustice. How did you respond? What did you learn from the experience?
- GRE (General) or GMAT Optional
- Applicants are not required to submit GRE/GMAT scores as part of the application for the master鈥檚 degree in Communication. Applicants may submit GRE/GMAT results, if they feel the scores enhance their application. If scores are submitted by an applicant, they will be reviewed as part of the admission review process. Applicants who do not submit scores will not be put at a disadvantage. If an applicant chooses to submit scores, they must follow up any self-reported scores with official test results.

- Deadlines: Admission is conducted on a rolling basis for all deadlines except those tied to funding consideration. Applications may close early under rolling admissions if all available seats are filled prior to the stated deadline.
